Yes, Thanksgiving And Genocide Are Linked— But Saying That Solves Nothing
Here’s what we can do instead
I hate Thanksgiving.
For me, it’s just Christmas without the presents.
I will not be celebrating it this year and I haven’t celebrated it on my own for the last five years.
“Good job, Tom! Way to stand against the genocide in our history!”
Uhh.
I actually don’t really register the genocide into my final analysis of whether I should celebrate Thanksgiving or not.
I just don’t think we need to celebrate a dinner.
Maybe a dinner at Fogo de Chão. But a roasted Turkey?
I mean.
But what about the genocide, though? How does that factor into how we celebrate Thanksgiving? Should we choose to NOT celebrate it? What’s the best way to go about it?

How many of us have a shrine to the old Pilgrims in our house that we pray in front of…
