This is a really great article Pete. I don't really understand Lauri's comment about there being something wrong with you. I don't really think the example of being on summer vacation at a beach is a worthy comparison. On TikTok and Instagram, the girls who go viral are pretty much always the ones who *wink wink* know exactly what they're doing and try to be as provocative as possible. There's a girl on TikTok I saw the other day (and promptly scrolled past) who literally just put her whole ass in front of her front facing camera and jiggled it around for 30 seconds. That's it. That was the video.
On the beach you just have normal people trying to relax and get a tan, go in the water, etc. A somewhat worthy comparison WOULD be if a girl on the beach started sticking her ass in front of every person there and jiggling it around like jello. The intent is not really the same, so the comparison doesn't work for me.
Ben Franklin once said "if your head is wax, don't walk in the sun." That's kinda how I view TikTok and Instagram. I don't want to be sent down an endless black hole of wanting and lust. And if I'm weird for being susceptible to that, then why is pornhub one of the most visited sites on the entire internet? Lust is a problem for a lot of people. And getting beautiful girls beamed into your phone at will one right after the other probably isn't all that healthy even for the strongest of wills. And if a guy can watch 20 videos of girls shaking their asses and not get the least bit phased by it, then I want to meet him and learn his ways immediately.
I don't have a problem with these girls on TikTok doing whatever they want to get views, by the way. That's their business and they are free to do that. But excuse us if seeing a ginormous ass being presented to us on a gorgeous screen can be a gateway to wanting, lust, and discontentment. I wish these social media platforms had a button where you could just turn that shit off and never get it shown to you again. I bet it's ruining a ton of marriages and relationships.
