That's a good question Ryan. If I'm doing a summit with you and I know Tim Denning is going to be a part of it, his name lends some weight to your pitch. I might want to have my name next to Tim's. You'll be surprised how many people just say yes to stuff like this, too. My first time putting on a summit I had nothing to offer big names online and they still said yes to a quick 45 minute call. Part of it is just shooting your shot and seeing which people decide to take a chance on you, because people will! People can still be really generous nowadays. Then when you get 2-3 heavy hitters, start using their names in your pitch and emphasize the fact that if everybody helps you promote, a couple thousand people could show up. So if you get Tim Denning, Michael Thompson, and Shannon Ashley for your summit, that says something about the quality of the summit, but it also says something about your quality as you were the one to convince them to do this in the first place. It requires a rolling of the dice, but people will join you even though you don't have much to offer.
