Shannon, it's a little heartbreaking to see my name mentioned here, honestly. I don't think you know that I've used my Facebook page on numerous occasions to raise money for various charities and causes in the Philippines. I've donated thousands of dollars over the last three years to animal shelters, orphanages, and even to folks who got hit hard by the pandemic and were only getting bags of rice delivered to them from their government as a "stimulus" package. I don't know, I'm sorry that I didn't share your campaign. I certainly didn't mean to make you feel bad with my article. I've seen kids below the age of 10 sleeping on collapsed cardboard boxes in the middle of the street in Manila. I have just chosen issues like these as my main vocation in life and I don't really talk about that a lot on Medium and shout from the rooftops about all the money I've donated. I'm sorry for all that you're going through, but I think you've painted me in a really disingenuous light here and I would appreciate it if you considered taking my name off this list of people.

I've also, just for the record, gone on and on about how much I love your work for the last three years. I certainly don't agree with everything you write, but I love the way you're willing to put yourself out there and tell your story. I'd like to think that I've introduced a good bit of readers to your work and that they've become long-term fans of you because of that. I like to support people ALL the time, not just when they're doing a gofundme campaign. I've had some 5,000+ people come to my live Medium workshop and guess who I talk about for 2-3 minutes right smack dab in the middle of it? You! I love your work that much. I'd like to think that I have supported you out of the spotlight of Medium.com--in various other things I do--for years. Please take that into consideration as well.
