Now that I think of it I believe that working from home just requires a lot more communication than normal as well. The office is great because communication is so easy (walk down the isle and talk to someone) whereas at home you have to call someone or engage via email/Skype chat/Slack.
I’m not sure if this is true Ruth Henderson, given my limited work experience in any office, but after having worked remotely for clients and companies, this is the biggest challenge I think.
Which shows why a daily conference call can work so well.
