Kevin it's called growing a newsletter with your pub and offering products to the email list you build. (Which is pretty easy to do here, all people need to do to get an email from your pub is follow it and click a box). That's #1.

#2 is cultivate a business mindset about your pub. Figure out how to monetize it on your own. It's not impossible to monetize a big following of people, or even a small one!

#3 is that Tony's plan for the future is, in fact, to monetize pubs and pay for pubs to help them curate content. I asked him about it on Twitter the other day and he said it was one of Medium's top priorities for the future.
