I think the (probably) $200+ this month Medium is going to pay out to you proves they care about you.

Keep pushing your narrative, though.

Declining stats was the pillar of your argument before. That these stats were obviously going to the new Medium magazines and featured writers.

I knew 3 weeks ago that Medium was pushing locked stories more — that’s why stats for free stuff have been declining.

That’s why you see people like Shannon Ashley straight up winning here.

I changed my strategy and got my stats back.

Your writing is good and your points are somewhat valid but you got to assume from now on out that the platform that’s taken care of you and so many other writers (VERY WELL by the way) for the past 6 months, and really 5 years, isn’t forgetting about you..

It’s just changing the algorithm.

You just didn’t know what was actually happening because it can be a pretty complex thing.

People buy into the narrative that Medium’s declining, though, because they don’t want to take responsibility that maybe they’re just not using Medium correctly.

There’s lots of people not seeing the results they want from Medium. Tons, actually.

But there’s also a lot of people that, over the last month or so when Medium “forgot about us” that have seen incredible success and paychecks from Medium deposited straight into their bank account.
