Hey Tanner! Thanks for responding. I've been watching the comments waiting for significant blowback for writing this but this was a really well-thought out response. One question for you before I respond is have you read either of his books? In them I thought he actually does a pretty good job talking about the dangers of the far left AND the far right--and I also think he does a great job showing why we need people on the left and why we also need people on the right. It's a balance between chaos and order as he calls it, and he says that we need progressive types to take us into a better world, and we need the conservative types to make sure it doesn't turn into a slippery slope. In his books, I think he handles that wonderfully. I'm not saying you haven't read them, I just want to make sure we're discussing the same thing here before we move on if you choose to respond to me again.

In terms of the hospital visits, he says there's some truth to that criticism about "why should we listen to you when you don't have your own house in order." He will openly admit that and has so far. In response to that he likes to say that he never really told anyone that he had it all together himself, and that these are just a set of rules that will generally help people become better than they were yesterday. I mean, are his rules wrong? Not in my estimation, and Peterson never said he was this perfect guy either. I think one of the popular philosophers once said "If you're looking for somebody who's perfect to listen to, you'll find no one."

None of us are perfect anyway, and we already knew that.
