Getting to say goodbye to our pets on our own terms is a beautiful thing. Not many get to do that. My second dog died suddenly, but my family was able to choose when we would say goodbye to our first one.

We have another dog now who is getting to this age, also.

I just hope we will be able to say goodbye on our terms, not anybody else’s.
