Here’s who I am and what I’m working on in 2021. Follow Nik while you’re at it, too. 😃
I’m a traveler, blogger, vlogger, and online course creator. Here are my social media handles.
When I write I normally focus on millennial personal development, politics, creativity…
Let’s talk about my 20 best online business tips for beginners.
A few years ago I lost a freelancing client that made up 90% of my income. That night, while wallowing in self-pity, I decided to buy a large cheese pizza and a six pack of the finest beer I could get my hands on.
I bought Natural light.
As I sat there by myself and ate all that greasy pizza, I felt bad for my current situation.
Then out of left field I got an idea.
What if I created my own online course? I’d been writing on this…
The first time I went to Las Vegas was in 2015. I remember having $500 in my bank account, and since my hotel and flight were already paid for, that $500 was all I had to gamble (and eat) with.
My friend felt so bad he gave me $20 to go spend on the slots.
I think I spent it (and lost it) in 2 minutes. Then I took out $50 and played $1/$2 limit Texas Hold Em’.
The good news is, that $50 helped me play for about two hours at that table. It was a lot of fun…
Hey, my name is Tom Kuegler.
I’ve been writing on Medium since October of 2016, and since six months ago, I have not written for a single Medium publication one time.
Well, that’s not entirely true.
No Mind Cafe, no Ascent, no PS I Love You, no Startup.
It’s weird that I’m writing about this, because I ALWAYS tell my students to get into big Medium publications. Why would I go against my teachings? Why would I deliberately shun my own advice?
“$500 for you, from members.”
That subject line made me do a double-take. I opened up the email from Medium and saw this message waiting for me:
“I’m going to buy $XXXX more of Ethereum today,” I said to my mother this morning.
If you didn’t know, Ether is on a tear right now.
“You don’t read your favorite writer because they’re a master wordsmith. You read your favorite writer because their ideas are mind-blowing.
Writers: Focus on honing your ideas more than your writing ability.”
This was a tweet I sent out yesterday.
After getting some responses and favorites, I realized something interesting..
This is a controversial topic! I love controversial topics. Let’s write about it.
I’ve been a staunch critic against traditional rules of writing. I enjoy stories that are written in a loosey-goosey tone. …
“When set with intention, goals can provide structure, direction, focus, and purpose. When not set with intention, goals can be knee-jerk reactions to something painful in our lives.”
-Ryder Carrol, Inventor of the Bullet Journal Method
In late 2017 I lost a huge freelancing client and 90% of my income dried up overnight.
It was a devastating blow, or a “painful moment” as Ryder Carrol just called it.
One night while wallowing in self-pity I decided to go eat a large cheese pizza by myself. I washed it down with beer, if you must know.
As I attempted to drown…
“Tom, you should quit, blow your business up, and start over.”
I said this to myself YESTERDAY. Yes, yesterday.
Entrepreneurship helped me create a business worth $250,000+ over the last two years of my life. I’ve been successful, and I’ve had fun.
Yet here I was just yesterday doubting my talents and being so emotional I wanted to throw in the towel on everything.
Does it sound a bit dramatic to you?
Ever since I sold my first online course in 2017, I’ve had a roller coaster of highs and lows.
After my emotional crisis yesterday, I got…
I’ve written some 1,000 blog posts for sites like Diply, Thought Catalog, Huffington Post, LinkedIn, and Elite Daily. Don’t believe me?
